Dongola: Fire Department
Dongola Fire Department is all-volunteer, with 19 members. We're in Union County, south of Carbondale and Anna. Our fire station is at the north edge of town, near the school and clinic. It has a kitchen, meeting & training room, shower and spot for overnight stay.
Our immediate response area covers 66 square miles. We have mutual aid agreements with all surrounding departments and the United States Forest Service for the Shawnee National Forest.
